Fiddler Crabs Home

Adriatic Sea

Included Within
Europe
Note
Stossich (1878) reported a fiddler crab from the Adriatic Sea, but this appears to be a clear error. Either the species was not a fiddler crab (most likely explanation) or the collection location was very wrong.
Approximate Coordinates

A purple fiddler crab (local) or a blue fiddler crab surrounded by a dashed circle (regional) indicates the coordinates used to represent this location; yellow fiddler crabs indicate all sublocations contained within this location; a skull and crossbones indicates fossil-only locations or sub-locations; and red circles with an x indicate false or mistaken locations.
